The City Manager is appointed by the City Council to serve as the chief administrative officer of the City. It is the responsibility of the City Manager to carry out policies formulated by the City Council.

The City Manager is also responsible for the supervision and management of all services of the City, including the enforcement of the City Code, Charter, and applicable laws of the State.

Other duties include:

• Preparing the City budget for consideration by the Council
• Administering the adopted budget
• Keeping the Council informed about the financial affairs of the City

The City Manager, Jaymes Vettraino, was appointed by City Council May, 2008.
