COVID-19 Rent, Mortgage & Utility Relief Program

Oakland County Rental Assistance One Pager_001

Oakland County is offering a grant program for residents who have fallen behind on their rent, mortgage or utility payments because of a lost job or other income reduction due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This one-time grant is for up to $15,000 per household. Applications for the program can be found at www.oakgov.com/COVID and will be accepted through August 31.

Asian Tiger Mosquito Identified in Metro-area

This mosquito can transmit viruses such as dengue, chikungunya and Zika to people. Although there have not been any illnesses associated with these species of mosquitoes in Michigan, it is important to take precautions.

The City continues the annual West Nile program to help cut down on the mosquitoes in the area.

City Intends to Issue Bonds

The City of Rochester intends to issue a bond for the purpose of paying part of the costs of the unfunded pension liability for the City's defined pension plan. Residents may petition to request a referendum on the issuance. The petition must be signed by
